Title: Disaster Recovery Agent Location: Remote Salary: 3,000 NGN/Hour Costs: We cover internet & Electricity 50NGN/hour Working Hours: Part-Time (5-20 hours a week)
We are looking for a Part-time Disaster Recovery Agent.
We are a startup company specializing in IT/Business Intelligence and are looking for an experienced Disaster Recovery Agent to design, implement, and manage our business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring our systems, data, and operations can recover swiftly from any disruptions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end disaster recovery lifecycle, including conducting risk assessments, identifying single points of failure, developing recovery strategies, conducting regular recovery testing, drafting business continuity plans, and coordinating response activities during incidents.
We need someone with a strong understanding of database systems, cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), data backup solutions, and failover architectures who can confidently orchestrate recovery procedures, configure replication, and perform system restoration. The ideal candidate should be able to assess systems, identify vulnerabilities, and execute recovery processes under pressure.
Your main responsibility will be to plan recovery drills, define recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO), establish realistic recovery procedures, monitor backups, respond to system outages, and ensure the company consistently maintains a high state of operational readiness.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience designing, implementing, or testing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) plans
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, backup technologies, replication, and failover mechanisms
- Experience troubleshooting system outages and managing incident response under pressure
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent English

- Startup environment experience
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and their native DR services

- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 22301, SOC 2)
- Experience managing remote IT infrastructure
